GWEIKE’s portable 1200W product page has published a broader 0.2–5 mm processing range, but buyers should confirm material-specific welding thickness because a generic processing range is not the same as a standardized welding limit.
Why the numbers are not directly comparable
One manufacturer gives material-specific examples while another gives a general processing range. LaserWeldFit does not pretend those are equivalent tests. Ask both vendors to validate the same material, thickness and joint.
Decision path
If your purchase hinges on a specific 3–5 mm material, require sample validation. If portability and online price dominate, compare the entire package, return policy and US support before using wattage as the tie-breaker.

Does 1500W automatically beat 1200W?
No. Published capability, source design, presets, material, support and workflow can matter more than the 300W headline difference.
Can I compare a general 0.2–5 mm processing range with a 4 mm steel welding claim?
