How LaserWeldFit Scores Fit

Our goal is not to crown one universal “best” laser welder. We identify which machine best matches a specific material, thickness, workflow and budget.

1. Manufacturer-source data first

Core specs are captured from official product pages and manuals when available. We flag ambiguous claims instead of silently converting them into facts.

2. Fit is contextual

The launch Finder uses material support, use-case match, published thickness headroom, power preference, portability and budget. The scoring model will expand as the database gains better support, warranty and ownership data.

3. Performance claims stay attributed

If a manufacturer says a machine processes a certain thickness, we describe it as a manufacturer-published figure. We do not present it as independent laboratory verification.

4. High-ticket friction is part of the decision

Shipping, returns after use, installation, electrical requirements, service and financing can change the best choice. These factors will become first-class database fields as we verify them brand by brand.

5. Safety is not optional

Handheld fiber laser welders are Class 4 systems. Recommendations never replace a site-specific laser-safety program, training, engineering controls or manufacturer instructions.
